Three set to cut The One Plan tariff to £15 per month?

After the game-changing 321 PAYG package unveiled this morning, mobile phone network Three is widely expected to revamp its SIM-only packages and cut the price of its One Plan tariff by a staggering 25 per cent down to £15.

An anonymous forum member from Digitalspy posted a picture of what looks like an internal marketing memo from Three. The document states that Three will be streamlining its SIM plans offering its “the One Plan” package for £15 on a 12-month contract and £18 on a 30-day rolling contract, down from £20 and £25 respectively.

The package includes 2000 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data (that includes tethering, a boon for many of us). Three confirmed earlier this year that it would be upgrading its existing customers to 4G for free later this year. Unlimited 4G for £15 sounds quite tempting and may lure customers away from Three’s bigger competitors.

The other plans mentioned in the document include a £6.90 one with 200 minutes, 5,000 texts and 500MB data and a £9.90 (600 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB data). Both of them are 12-month plans and you need to fork out an additional £3 per month if you opt for a 30-day one.
