Amazon is selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone for £367 including £1 MP3 credit to try out Amazon MP3 store plus a 15 per cent discount off selected Samsung microSD cards (until 8 July 2013).
The smartphone, which help popularize the moniker phablet, was unveiled last year at IFA in Germany and it is likely that its successor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, will be revealed at the same event.
Altogether, it is a massive device, one with a 5.5in Super AMOLED HD display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a rear 8-megapixel camera, the S Pen Stylus and numerous features like Airview, popup note, Quick command or Photo Note.
The Galaxy Note 2 comes with a gargantuan 3,100mAh battery that can power the device for more than 10 hours and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Samsung's own TouchWiz UI. Note that this is the 3G version rather than the 4G one. Check out our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone here.
