HTC Windows Phone 8X smartphone now available from £220

With the impending launch of new Windows Phone 8 devices, Expansys is clearing out existing stocks of the Windows Phone 8X, the flagship Windows Phone 8 device from HTC, for as little as £220. This is a 37 per cent discount off the previous selling price of the handset, one which is SIM Free and comes with free delivery.

The phone has a dual-ore Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.3in 1,280 x 720 pixel Super LCD 2 touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with a BSI sensor and a front-facing 2.1-megapixel one. Both have F2.0 aperture and can record videos at full HD resolutions.

Other features include Beats Audio technology (with an amplifier), a 1,800mAh battery, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, a microUSB port and a microSD card slot. Note that the phone is not 4G capable and will some tough competition from the similarly priced Samsung Galaxy Ativ S and the Nokia Lumia 820. You can read our review of HTC Windows Phone 8X here.
