There has been a number of tablets that double as smartphone in the past. The original Samsung Galaxy Tab was one and Asus' recently-launched FonePad is another example. And the public interest in bigger devices can also explain the success of phablets, phones with a screen size of 5in or bigger.
We tracked down one such product on eBay which is on sale for £70. The DroiTab Q7 is a 7in tablet, similar in shape and size to the Google Nexus 7 but with some very personal peculiarities. It runs on an Allwinner A13 system-on-chip, a Cortex-A8 model clocked at 1.2GHz, comparable to the one found in the original Apple iPad.
There's also 512MB of RAM, 4GB onboard storage, a microSD card, a rear 1.3-megapixel camera (and oddly enough, apparently no front facing one), a 7in display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a 2,800mAh battery, a USB port and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (although the description mentions Android 4.1).
What sets it apart from the rest of the competition though is the fact that it has voice capabilities albeit limited to GSM/2G.
