Ebuyer sells the Sumvision Cyclone Android X2 Mini PC for £59 and while it might sound a bit steep, it is good value for a product that delivers more than just Android on your big lounge screen.
This very compact device (it holds in the palm of your hand) runs on a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 system-on-chip clocked at 1.5GHz (An Amlogic unit) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Other features include 1GB of RAM and 4GB onboard storage and a remote control.
It is however the rather surprising expansion capabilities of the Cyclone Android X2 that sets it apart from the rest of the competition. It comes with four USB ports (albeit v2.0), a SD card slot, AV, HDMI, Component, Optical and Coaxial ports, Wi-Fi and RJ45 (AKA Ethernet).
The only real expansion option left out is a 2.5in hard disk drive bay. One can envisage using this as an ultra-compact computer (or thin client) equivalent to Intel's NUC but connected to only one screen.
