British supermarket Tesco offered the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone for just under £300, a price that includes free delivery and 299 Nectar points worth nearly £12 on some deals. You might cut down the price of the deal even further if you manage to grab some of the Tesco Direct voucher codes floating around.
Amazon however went further and is offering the Galaxy S3 for £288 with a free £1 credit to try Amazon's MP3 store.
The smartphone is SIM free and blue; it is powered by a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 system-on-chip clocked at 1.4GHz and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The rest of the product specification sheet includes up to 8.5 hours talk time, 16GB onboard storage, a 1GB of RAM, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front-facing 2-megapixel one, a 4.8in Super AMOLED HD display with a 1,280 x 720 pixel resolution, two-year warranty and a number of Samsung features.
These include S-Voice, Buddy Photo-share, the TouchWiz user interface and Smart Stay. The handset is a mere 8.6mm and weighs 133g. It was replaced a few months ago by the Galaxy S4 as the top dog at Samsung. You can read our review of the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone here.
