Deal: £65 Acer Iconia B1-A71 Android tablet

If you don't mind buying a refurbished tablet and trust the Acer brand, then check out this offer from Cheapest Electrical, a popular trader who operates on eBay, one who offers the Acer Iconia B1-A71 tablet for £65 with 65 Nectar points, 12-months warranty and free delivery.

The tablet, which was launched earlier this year at CES, runs on a dual-core Cortex-A9-based system-on-chip clocked at 1.2GHz. There's 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 7in display with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a front-facing camera and a microUSB port.

The Acer Iconia B1-A71 is pitched against the Asus-built Google Nexus 7 tablet, one that was launched six months earlier and offers a more powerful bundle without any expansion capabilities though (there's no microSD card slot). One can expect quad-core tablets to become commonplace at the very end of the market with Cortex-A5-based models being the most popular.
