Its name says it all, this is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet and since it is a note, it can make phone calls but one wonders whether you will be able to make one single-handedly on a phablet with an 8in diagonal.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 is currently on sale at UKBNS, a popular eBay retailer, for £450, a price that includes delivery and 450 Nectar points. From the onset, it is clear that unless you actually DO want a big screen, the Galaxy Note 2 will probably be a much better alternative for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the Galaxy Note 2 is almost £100 cheaper, secondly, the Note 2 has a much better camera (8-megapixel vs. 5-megapixel) and finally, both tablets share almost the same specification (same screen resolution at 1,280 x 800 pixels, quad-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot).
Also on the feature list are 4G connectivity, the S Pen capacitive stylus, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and TouchWiz user interface. Check out our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 here.
