UK supermarket Tesco sells the Lenovo A1000 tablet for £109 but you can get a £10 discount when you use the code TDX-WL3M at check out. You also get free delivery and 99 Clubcard points in the process.
The tablet is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. There's also a dual-core SoC, the Mediatek MTK8317, which is clocked at 1GHz and uses a PowerVR SGX GPU.
Other features include a 7in display with a 1,024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a front-facing camera, a micro-USB port, Dolby Digital Plus, two front facing speakers, a 3,500mAh battery that can power the device for up to seven hours, a microSD card slot, a rear 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Rivals to the Lenovo A1000 include the Acer Iconia B1, the Archos 80 Cobalt, the HP Slate 7 and the Asus MeMo Pad 172. It is likely that by the end of the year, tablets with the same specification as the Google Nexus 7 will cost less than £100.
