Huawei appears to have learnt lessons from its past product launches. This time around, the Ascend P6, which was only launched last month, is already available via Carphone Warehouse for as little as £17 per month on a two year contract. That's only £408 for the duration of that contract, which compares very well with the cost of the SIM free version of the phone which stands at £330.
And unlike what many would expect, that contract is not on TalkMobile but on Telefonica-owned O2 and you don't get a paltry package as many would expect but instead a fairly chunky one. Note that the deal is available online only. You do get 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB data allowance and O2's Priority Moments.
In comparison, Talk Mobile provides with a lesser package and still charges a whopping £24 per month. The device is a stunning piece of technology with a thickness of merely 6.18mm, a sleek aluminium alloy frame, a quad-core processor (a HiSilicon model clocked at 1.5GHz), a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Huawei's own distinctive Emotion UI.
The front of the smartphone is adorned by a 4.7in HD display with a second generation Corning Gorilla Glass layer while the chassis contains a massive 2,000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot.
