Deal: £290 BlackBerry Z10 smartphone

Amazon is currently selling the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, a device that's just over six months old, with a 61 per cent off its suggested selling price, down to £290. That almost matches what we saw with the (then-RIM) BlackBerry Playbook, the HP TouchPad tablet and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.

The smartphone comes with the new BlackBerry 10 OS (which has since been updated to 10.1) and includes a number of new features such as Voice Control, Time Shift, Video conversation, Hub, Tag, Remember, Protect, Calendar and BlackBerry World storefront.

The Z10 comes with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, the same found inside many Windows Phone 8 devices, and one which comes with 4G/LTE capabilities. Other features include 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.3in display with a 1,280 x 768 pixel resolution, a microSD card slot, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front-facing 2-megapixel one, NFC and more.

Note that Amazon gives £1 credit to try out its MP3 download store. Read our review of the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone here.
