Deal: £315 Asus VivoTab Smart ME400C Windows 8 tablet

The Asus VivoTab ME400C tablet was unveiled earlier this year at CES and its price has been slashed by Argos from £400 to £315, a price that currently includes £10 voucher to be spent at Argos. The tablet packs some jaw-dropping specifications for that price.

This includes a 10.1in display with a 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution, 2GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage which can be doubled to 128GB thanks to a microSD card slot, an Intel Atom Z2760 system-on-chip clocked at 1.8GHz, nearly 10 hours battery life, dual speakers with SonicMaster audio technology, a front-facing camera and a rear 8-megapixel camera with AF, a 5-element lens, an F/2.2 aperture and back-illuminated CMOS sensor.

Connectivity options include NFC, Wi-Fi, mini HDMI and a USB port. Note that you can add an accessory (called the Transleeve) that can transform it into a laptop. It is a combined cover and stand with a wireless keyboard.

As for applications, other than Windows 8, you get 32GB Asus WebStorage space for three years, SuperNote, People and Fresh Paint. Feel free to continue reading our Asus VivoTab Smart ME400 review here.
