Deal: Sony Xperia Z Ultra smartphone dips to less to than £600

This is one of the slimmest smartphones on the market and possibly one of the most powerful as well. Check out the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of these so-called large display phablets that sport a gargantuan display.

This particular unit is on sale at unlocked-mobiles and comes with a 6.4in full HD display with a TRILUMINOS display and X-Reality, both of which are Sony's own technologies. With a pixel density of 342ppi, it surpasses Apple's famed Retina Display although it falls short of that of the HTC One.

The device runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system-on-chip clocked at 2.2GHz. Like its smaller brother, the Sony Xperia Z, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage.

Other features include NFC, a free stereo Bluetooth headset, the SBH20, two-years warranty, a 3,050mAh battery, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front-facing 2-megapixel one, full HD video, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, LTE connectivity, IP55/IP58 rating which makes it both waterproof and dust proof.

Sony also made it compatible with any pen or stylus (thereby removing the need for any proprietary ones. Note that the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is only 6.5mm thick and weighs 212g. For more take A closer look at the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
