Deal: Acer Iconia W700 Windows 8 tablet

The Acer Iconia W700 is an almost perfect Ultrabook, as far as I am concerned. This tablet doubles as a laptop with a case and a keyboard docking station and it currently retails for £550 at Save-on-Laptops on eBay. You get free delivery and 549 Nectar points as well.

It runs on an Intel Core i3-2365 processor, a 2nd generation Sandy Bridge model clocked at 1.4GHz with two cores and 3MB cache.

There's also a staggering 11.6in touchscreen display with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, Windows 8 OS, 4GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, an integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetotoh 4.0, front and rear cameras, up to eight hours battery life, a microHDMI port, a microUSB one and fast resume capabilities.

At less than 1Kg, it is indeed a very attractive proposition. The only issue as far as I stand is the lack of a touchpad which I consider to be essential for work. On the other hand, it is way too heavy to be a tablet-only device. Check out our review of the Acer Iconia W700 Windows 8 tablet here.
