Deal: £50 7Dayshop Android-based dual-core personal computer

Online retailer 7Dayshop sells a dual-core Android device for a mere £50. It is not a tablet or smartphone though or even one of the many HDMI dongles that we've seen in a recent past.

Instead, it is a rebadged computer that is as versatile as it gets. It runs on a dual-core AllWinner A20 SoC, a dual-core Cortex-A7 part clocked at 1GHz which may struggle at times under load. It is teamed up with 1GB of RAM, 4GB onboard storage, a microSD memory slot, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI connector, Wi-Fi, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a remote control and a HDMI cable.

It is compatible with DLNA, SAMBA and a number of other services. It doesn't support Bluetooth though, which is a shame but the fact that it has so many other connectivity options means that it is still one of the better Android boxes on the market.

Future such devices are likely to include Bluetooth 4.0 out of the box with quad-core system-on-chip to boot from, USB 3.0, multiple microSD card slots and even bundled wireless keyboard and mouse.
