You won't find a cheaper and better configured tablet from a mainstream retailer; head over Ebuyer to evaluate the Busbi 7 device which is currently on sale for £60. Its specification is vaguely reminiscent of the HTC Flyer from nearly three years ago.
Like the latter, it has a 7in display with a 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution and a system-on-chip clocked at 1.4GHz. However, Busbi's one – likely to be the Rockchip RK3066 - comes with two cores (rather than one) and 1GB of RAM rather than half that.
The rest of the specification list reads as follows: a 4GB microSD card, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi, a 2,800mAh battery, mini-HDMI out, microUSB and a VGA front facing camera.
Just as dual-core SoC are flushing out single-core ones, one can expect quad-core models to do the same in a near future, as they are either based on the Cortex-A5, A7 or A15 and can therefore provide with a wide performance range.
