Three has confirmed that LG's powerful new flagship smartphone, the G2, will be coming to the UK.
Details are still scant and nothing has been confirmed with regards to an exact release date or pricing, but the mobile network has announced that the G2 will make its appearance in Blighty within the "next eight weeks."
Given the device's high-end specs, we'd expect it to be anointed with a SIM-free price tag around or in excess of £500 when it finally lands.
"LG has created a true powerhouse smartphone in the G2 that combines their technological expertise from design through to features. We believe this phone will encourage greater use of more demanding data applications which makes Three the perfect partner," commented Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three.
LG unveiled new flagship the G2 in New York City earlier this week and it's thought by some to be a rough indicator of what Google's Nexus 5 smartphone might look like when that breaks cover.
Some key specs for you to whet the appetite: the LG G2 features a 5.2in Full HD (1080p) display and measures just 8.9mm in depth. Under the hood, it sports a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at an impressive 2.26GHz and capable of handling 4K video.
Elsewhere, the G2 packs a beefy 3,000mAh battery and offers a 13-megapixel primary camera. It will come available with either 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage and a final talking point has been that it features rear-facing buttons for ease of use.
