The Xperia Z was announced earlier this year at CES and has been Sony's flagship model for nearly seven months. It has only been recently superseded by the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which boosts a much faster processor. The device runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 (S4 Pro) processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There's also 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 5in display covered with tempered glass and with a 1,920 x 1,080 megapixel resolution with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, OptiContrast and Direct Touch technologies, a rear 13-megapixel camera with Exmor RS, water and dust resistant.

Other notable features include a pair of Sony MH-EX300AP headset, Dragontrail glass, front and back, 4G/LTE connectivity, NFC, battery STAMINA mode and a thickness of only 7.9mm.
