Deal: £68 Ampe dual-core 7in tablet with Android 4.2.2

Meet the Ampe 7in tablet, a brand that you have certainly never heard of and yet, one which is currently selling a rather attractive tablet for only £68 including delivery and 68 Nectar points on eBay.

The manufacturer has put together a list of reasons to convince sellers to fork out that additional £20 needed to bridge the gap between its 7in model and cheaper 7in ones.

The tablet is particularly impressive at this price. It comes with a dual-core Rockchip RK3066 system-on-chip clocked at 1.2GHz (which is based on the more powerful Cortex-A9 rather than the A7 or the A5), 1GB of RAM, 6GB onboard storage with a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Mini USB, HDMI, a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing one, a 7in display with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, a 3,500mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 OS.

Its design is reminiscent of the HTC Flyer from three years ago but this one is actually more powerful and yet available at less than a fifth of the suggested retail price of the former.
