The Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone, which is also known as the i8262, is essentially an updated Samsung Galaxy S2 with a Galaxy S4 chassis. It carries a price tag of £225 which, elsewhere, can get you smartphone like the LG Optimus 4X HD or the Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 and is on sale via a reputable eBay reseller with free delivery and 225 Nectar points.
When it comes to hardware, it runs on a dual-core system-on-chip clocked at 1.2GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a 4.3in display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a microSD card slot, a rear 5-megapixel camera, a 1,800mAh battery, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and dual-SIM capability.
The device also borrows a number of features from its bigger brother, the S3; Smart Stay and S Voice command are both included, as is Voice Unlock. Overall, a very bland attempt from Samsung but one which is logical given that it exploits niche markets.
