Deal: Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone from £13 per month

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini handset is currently on sale at Carphone Warehouse on a two year contract for as little as £13 per month. That's a total cost of ownership of £312, which is about £120 more than the cost of the handset on its own.

The package includes 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB data allowance and 250MB Wi-Fi. As for the phone itself, our initial dislike for it is well documented. We warmed to it more recently after Samsung slashed its price significantly but that was perhaps too late as it coincided with the rise of similar but far cheaper alternatives like the Acer CloudMobile.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini comes with a dual-core system-on-chip clocked at 1GHz, an ST-Ericsson U9500. There's also 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a 4in display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a rear 5-megapixel camera, a front facing one, Touchwiz UI, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a design that is reminiscent of the Galaxy S3 (designed by nature as Samsung puts it).
