First eight-core tablet goes on sale for under $300

Head over to Focal Price to check out one of the first eight-core tablet that's currently on preorder for just under $300 (with free worldwide delivery but without local taxes).

This is the Teamgee Super8 and the tablet looks a lot like a Samsung model with fairly similar lines. It also runs an octo-core Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5410, the same that comes in the some versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. The latter is formed of two quad-core modules, Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7, with the former reaching up to 1.8GHz.

The device also sports an 8.1in IPS display with a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front 2-megapixel one, 3G capabilities, 2Gb of RAM, microUSB 3.0, a microSD card slot, HDMI out, 16GB onboard storage, a 4,400mAh battery, Wi-Fi and weighs just over 400g.

Note that it can make phone calls as well which means that it is essentially a clone of the Samsung Note 8 phablet without the stylus.
