Online retailer DigitalRev is currently selling the Sony Xperia V LT25i smartphone for £220. This is a mid-range smartphone from the Japanese manufacturer, one that was released last year at IFA in Berlin.
It runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 system-on-chip clocked at 1.5GHz, with 1GB of Ram and 8GB onboard storage. Compared to say the Lumia 820 for example, this one is powered by Android 4.0 (upgradable to Jelly Bean).
Other features include a 4.3in HD Reality display with a 1,280 x 720 display and Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology, a 13-megapixel rear camera and full HD video recording capabilities.
Like the Sony Xperia Z, it conforms to IP55 and IP57 protocols which guarantees protection against dust and water.
Sony Mobile will be releasing a number of handsets at IFA and the successor to the Sony Xperia V is likely to be one of them. All in all, it is one of the better 4G handsets on the market and an excellent complement for any 4G services from EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three. You can check out Sony Xperia V preview here.
