Suggested retail prices, it seems, are only valid for the first day for most products. Take the Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet (2013 version), announced only a few weeks ago. It started life on preorder for £200 (and more if you purchased it directly from Google).
However, eBay retailer Pixel Deals now sells it for as little as £180 including delivery and 180 Nectar points. It's only a 10 per cent discount but every little helps.
The tablet, which was announced at a special event, comes with a 7in full HD display, one that has a pixel density of 323 ppi. Other features include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a rear 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, NFC, a front-facing camera and much more.
It is a definitive improvement on the previous version – which stunned the market at launch - and has set the (very high) standard for the crop of tablets that will come to market by the end of the year. Check out our review of the Asus Google Nexus 7 (2013) tablet here.
