Deal: £258 Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone

Nokia's former top of the range Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Lumia 920, is now available from Amazon for £258 with free delivery. This is a significant discount off its original retail price which, earlier this year, stood at around £500.

The price cut comes as many expect a significant hardware update to Windows Phone 8 to bring it in line with Android competitors which have already moved on to quad-core devices and full HD displays.

The Lumia 920 was launched last year in New York and comes with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with 4G/LTE capabilities.

The rest of the feature includes up to 18 hours talk time thanks to a 2,000mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7in display with an odd 1,280 x 768 pixel resolution, a 8.7-megapixel camera with an F/2.0 aperture and Carl Zeiss optic and so on.

Remember though that this is a big, big phone and that its unique selling points lie in its applications like Here City Lens, Here Drive, Here Maps, Office, Nokia Music, Here Transit, Panorama and more. Check out our Nokia Lumia 920 review here.
