Deal: £220 Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone

It was only a few days ago that I noted that Amazon had cut the price of the Nokia Lumia 920 to a mere £258. But Tesco Direct has gone even further by reducing the price of Nokia's former top of the range smartphone to a mere £220 including delivery with 220 Clubcard points. Several commentators have pointed out that you may (or may not) get discounts using the codes TDXR-MKJW or TDX-DV73.

As for the phone itself, it is a smashing piece of technology. It was launched last year in New York, together with the Lumia 820. It was until recently, Nokia's top of the range handset, until it was superseded by the Lumia 1020. Its features include a 4.5in ClearBlack display with a 1,280 x 768 pixel resolution, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz with 4G, a 2,000mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, wireless charging capabilities, an 8.7-megapixel rear camera plus a whopping array of applications from Nokia.

These include Here Transit, Nokia Music, Mix Radio, Smartcam, Here Drive and Here Map. For more, read our review of the Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone here.
