Phones4U sells the Samsung Galaxy S4 Blue smartphone on a 12-month contract for £47 per month with a £47 monthly commitment and an upfront fee of £99. That's a total cost of ownership of £663 (or an effective cost of £55.25 per month) which is about £150 more expensive than what you'd pay for the smartphone alone.
The plan offers unlimited minutes and texts as well as 1GB of data on Vodafone Red plan. The offer also includes free unlimited internet for three months with three months free Wi-Fi. As for the smartphone, it remained as Samsung's top dog for only a few months before being displaced earlier this month by the Galaxy Note 3 phablet.
The S4 however remains a great handset. It runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 system-on-chip clocked at 1.9GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 5in full HD Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 and Samsung's Adapt display technology, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing 2-megapixel one, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and much more.
