The Nokia Lumia 1020 is the best Windows Phone 8 smartphone on the market thanks partly to that eye-watering 41-megapixel camera that adorns its back. The handset is currently on sale at Three for £34 per month with an upfront fee of £69. That is a total cost of ownership of £885 over 24 months (or an effective cost of just under £37) and include all-you-can-eat data, 500 minutes and 5,000 minutes.
Add £2 per month to double the minutes allowance and another £2 to jump on the One plan which procures 2,000 minutes as well as tethering on top of the unlimited data plan. Three says that the phone will be delivered next week and is even bundling a free accessories pack worth £140 when purchased before 25 September.
That bundle include a wireless charging plate, a wireless charging cover, a camera case and a tripod. Other than its camera, the 1020 is not very different from its predecessor, the Lumia 920. Like the latter, it runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, 4G functionality (free from Three from the end of the year) and much more.
