£150 Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is cheapest 4G smartphone in the UK

MobilePhonesDirect is selling the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, the entry level LTE handset from the Korean manufacturer, for only £150, making it by far the cheapest 4G smartphone on the market and one which may well allow it to have a head start on the rest of the competition at the entry level.

This is a dual-core smartphone running at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 4in display with a 960 x 540 pixel display, 8GB onboard storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, NFC, 4G functionality, a 1,800mAh battery, a microSD card reader and a weight of 120g.

As expected, the phone, which looks a bit like the Galaxy S3 Mini, comes with a number of features found on Samsung's mainstream handsets. These includes Best Shot, Sound and Shot, S Voice, buddy Photo Share and is expected to be delivered in the first week of October.

Other competing 4G smartphones include the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE and the Nokia Lumia 820.
