Deal: £150 Acer Chromebook

Chromebooks have been around for a couple of years already and one wonder whether Google needs to merge it with Android in order to boost its popularity. Bargain Crazy is selling what looks like the cheapest Chromebook in the UK. Mind you, this is a refurbished model that comes with a one-year warranty (BC is part of Shop Direct Group).

As for this Chromebook, Acer chose the Intel route rather than the ARM route chosen by Samsung for its Series 3 Chromebook. The Aspire C710 comes with a dual-core Intel Celeron 847 processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive, an 11.6in display with a 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution powered by Intel HD Graphics, a webcam, three USB ports, Wi-Fi, a card reader, an Ethernet connector, HDMI out, a two-cell battery and Chrome OS.

Note that this laptop doesn't come with any optical drive and that the keyboard of this laptop has a slightly different layout compared to Windows-based models.
