You can buy this Archos GamePad gaming tablet for as little as £69 from Tesco by using, until the end of the week, the voucher code TDX-HF4X, to shave off £10. The device is essentially Archos' answer to Sony's PS Vita but with Android onboard and a clear focus on gamers keen to use emulators for older games. The French manufacturer included a patented mapping tool that can be used with the analog thumb sticks, directional pad and 10 buttons.
The GamePad runs on a dual-core Rockchip RK3066 system-on-chip clocked at 1.6GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a mini-HDMI port, front facing cameras, a 7in display with a 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, up to six hours batter life, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a better-than-average finish.
Tesco included free delivery as well as 69 Clubcard points in the deal to sweeten it. Note that stocks are likely to be low given that this is a clearance sale as rumours of a second-generation GamePad 2 gaming tablet have already surfaced. Interested?
