Until 29 September, you will be able to use the voucher code (TDX-PWG3) to get a £20 discount off the price of the 2013 edition of the Google Nexus 7 tablet at Tesco Direct. That's an effective discount of 10 per cent plus you get free delivery and 179 Clubcard points.
The tablet was launched at a Google special event with Sundar Pichai and is the first device to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snadragon APQ8064 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, there's 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 7in display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a rear 5-megapixel camera (which was lacking on the previous model) and a decent array of connectivity options. This include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi (including 802.11ac), NFC and a microUSB port.
The new tablet is thinner and lighter compared to the previous model but it still lacks that microSD card slot. Note that you can also purchase the 32GB version of the new Google Nexus 7 for £219 with the same code from Tesco. Read our review of the new Google Nexus 7 here.
