Deal: Apple iPhone 5S for £26 per month

Head over to Uswitch to check an offer from MobilePhonesDirect and mobile operator Vodafone for an Apple iPhone 5S (Gold) smartphone, arguably a much better offer than the Apple iPhone 5C.

You have to fork out an upfront fee of £310 and then pay £13 per month on a two year contract. The total cost of ownership for the device is £622 or just under £26 per month which is a mere £73 (13 per cent) more than the price of the device SIM free.

The package includes 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 100MB data and its allure lies in the fact that you don't have to pay out the whole amount in the first place. The Apple iPhone 5S was launched a couple of weeks ago, together with the iPhone 5C.

It comes with a new processor, the Cortex A7, a co-processor called the M7, a fingerprint sensor plus a few other notable improvements (but not 802.11ac). Apple has increased the price of the new iPhone from £529 to £549 as it introduced the iPhone 5C (which is a plastic version of the iPhone 5) at £469.
