UK based startup User Replay has announced the securing of £335,000 in venture capital funding in a round led by EC1 Capital, bringing total investment in the company to £1.2 million.
User Replay's primary service, Session Replay, acts like a black box flight recorder on an for e-commerce sites, allowing technical glitches to be quickly fixed, baskets to be recovered and all visitor sessions to be recorded and analysed.
Meanwhile, the User Replay software also delivers further benefits for customer service, dispute resolution and fraud reduction.
It is already used by major retail websites across the UK, including SportsDirect.com and Cofunds.
"We are very happy to have EC1 Capital on board. Winning our first VC investor is an important milestone for the company, and will help accelerate our product development," said John Thompson, CEO of User Replay.
EC1 Capital focuses on helping early stage, web technology companies. Managing director, Julian Carter commented: "EC1 is delighted to be joining User Replay's backers.

The round also saw investment from Star-Achats, User Replay's distributor in European French-speaking countries.
Thierry Kolton, CEO of Star-Achats added: "We have seen such strong interest in User Replay in the French and Belgian retail markets that we wanted to invest in the technology, as well as sell the product."
