Deal: £190 GoClever Orion 101 quad-core tablet with keyboard and headphones

Online retailer 7dayshop is currently selling the GoClever Orion 101 quad-core tablet for £190. While this is not necessarily a low price, it does include a matching keyboard accessory as well as headphones. In effect, one might consider that the Orion 101 is similar in shape and size to the Archos 101 XS which was launched last year.

It runs on the AllWinner A31 ssytem-on-chip. This is a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1GHz with an 8-Core GPU, a PowerVR SGX544MP2 model. There's 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 10.1in IPS display with a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, Android 4.1, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, a card reader, mini-HDMI port, two cameras, two speakers, a 6200mAh battery that can keep the tablet up for six hours and above all, a two-year warranty.

The keyboard is a chicklet type one without a touchpad. It connects to the tablet via Bluetooth and you will need to charge it separately. One has to wonder though whether it is worth actually getting the new Nexus 7 tablet for around £179 and just invest in a Bluetooth keyboard.
