Deal: Sony Xperia Z Ultra smartphone for £28 per month and unlimited data

Head over to Buymobiles to grab a Sony Xperia Z Ultra smartphone on Three for as little as £28 with unlimited data. You will need to pay an upfront fee of £180. The package includes 500 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data although that excludes tethering. Optionally you can get unlimited data in selected European countries for a mere £5 a day.

The total cost of ownership of the device stands at £852 or around £35.50 per month which is more than decent for such a package. There are also other combinations that allow you to pay more per month and less for an upfront fee.

As for the Xperia Z Ultra itself, it was launched a couple of weeks ago at IFA in Germany and is currently the largest phablet on the market, one that comes with a massive 6.44in display as well as a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution. The latter comes with Sony's own Mobile Bravia 2 and the Retina Display one.

It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system-on-chip clocked at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a card reader and IP58 certification (meaning that it is both waterproof and dustproof).
