Lenovo Flex 15 laptop available from £479

Lenovo pitches the Flex 15 as an affordable dual-mode notebook, one that can be used as a traditional laptop or in a so-called stand mode (like a photo frame). It is currently on sale at online retailer Isme for £479 which is actually not a lot of money for what is on offer.

There's a fourth-generation Intel Core i3-4010U processor clocked at 1.7GHz with 3MB L3 cache together with an Intel HD Graphics 4400 GPU. Also on the spec sheet are 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive, Windows 8, a battery that can power the device for up to nine hours, Dolby Advanced Audio certification, OneKey recovery, Lenovo's AccuType keyboard, three USB ports, VGA, HDMI out, a webcam, Bluetooth 4.0 and a one piece multi-touch touchpad.

The most defining of the Flex 15 however remains its 15.6in touchscreen display which has a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, which in our opinion is probably better than trying to shove 5.76-megapixel (QHD+) on a 13.3in display.
