Deal: £179 Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 smartphone

Amazon is selling the SIM-free version of the Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 smartphone for a mere £179, which is around half what it used to cost.

This is not as good as the £200 Tesco was charging for the Nokia Lumia 920 a few weeks ago but if you're in the market for a Windows Phone 8 handset right now, you simply can't get anything better-value for your hard-earned money.

The device comes with an optional wireless charging shell, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a 4.3in ClearBlack AMOLED display with a 800 x 480 pixel display, an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Lens and Smart Shoot plus a removable battery and a microSD card slot.

What's more, Nokia has equipped this smartphone with a number of its own applications like Nokia Music, Nokia City lens, Nokia Here Drive, Nokia Here Transit.

There's arguably the added benefit of having SkyDrive plus Microsoft Office Mobile apps bundled for free as well. Check out our review of the Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8 smartphone here.
