Deal: £213 Packard Bell EasyNote TE laptop

Online retailer Bargain Crazy sells the Packard bell EasyNote TE laptop for £213. The retailer is part of the Shop Direct group which includes brands such as Very, Littlewoods, Woolworths and Isme as well. The laptop is in fact a netbook-class product with a classic 15.6in form factor. Note that it is a refurbished model that comes with a 12-month warranty.

It is powered by a dual-core AMD E1-1200 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz. There's 6GB of RAM, a whopping 500GB hard disk drive, Windows 8 Home Premium (rather than Windows 7 Home Starter), a 15.6in display with a 1,366 x 768 pixel display, a DVD drive, a card reader, Wi-Fi, a webcam and what Packard Bell calls a "stylish rhythmic wave pattern design".

Note that the laptop comes with a dedicated numeric keypad and that the touchpad is left aligned which might not suit left-handed users. Packard-Bell was purchased a while back by Taiwanese manufacturer Acer. The latter also purchased Gateway and eMachines as well.
