Enterprise and business tablet app awards competition the Tabby Awards /Business has revealed the finalists for its 2013 iteration.
Some 40 apps have been selected for the grand finale spanning across 18 different categories, with finalists drawn from a dozen different countries - the UK, US, Ireland, Israel, India and Germany are among those represented.
Sponsored by the TabTimes, the finals are overwhelmingly dominated by Android and iOS apps, with just one Windows 8 finalist - SAP EMR Unwired, which is competing in the healthcare and pharmaceutical category.
"The Tabby Awards shed light on apps that are exclusive to or optimised for tablets. The variety and the quality of winners show the depth and richness of the tablet app market and they are testament to its vitality," commented Patrick Pierra, CEO of TabTimes and founder of the Tabby Awards.
Other finalists include collaborative work platform Citrix Podio (iOS), Prezi for iPad and 2012 awardee SlideShark (iOS), which is a finalist in two categories - presentation and productivity.
The winning apps and developers will be recognised at the Tabby Awards /Business ceremony in New York on 13 November, one of the focal points of the larger TabTimes TabletBiz conference and expo.
