Groupon has announced a redesigned website along with updated versions of its iPhone, Android and iPad mobile apps to mark the fifth anniversary of the daily deals site's launch.
The updated versions of the website and mobile apps are aimed at making search and browsing of Groupon's offers easier.
Web users will receive a personalised homepage when signed in, based on the customer's interests, previous purchases and purchases by other customers with similar interests.
In addition to a range of new search, browse, merchandising and location features, the website is now much faster and has a new look and feel.
"In just five years, Groupon has grown from a daily deal website to a true online marketplace with a tremendous mobile following," said Groupon CEO Eric Lefkofsky.
"Our new site and mobile app makes it easier and more rewarding for customers to check Groupon first when they want to buy just about anything, anytime, anywhere."
Updates to the app include deal favouriting, allowing iPad customers to now save deals for quick and easy future reference, by selecting the new heart button on the deal pages.
A new local explorer meanwhile follows customers as they move, whether visiting a city or a different country - the app now automatically detects when a mobile customer's location has changed and sends a notification when they are in range of Groupon's local deals.
