British wearable technology innovators have a new home to show of their wares with a show being launched in 2014 that will cover the industry in minute detail and offer startups the chance to get off on the right track.
The Wearable Technology Show takes place from 18-19 March at London’s Olympia Conference Centre with the event including over 70 sessions covering everything important in the youthful but fast growing sector.
“We are really excited to be launching the first show in the UK for wearable technology. We’ve already had considerable interest in the event, with pre registrations for delegate passes already at 26 per cent take up before our website goes live,” stated Lisa Doerr, event director for The Wearable Technology Show.
Three conference rooms will play host to all the sessions that will cover fashion, sports and fitness, health, M2M and live product demos. There is also a developer hackfest and a business startup track that will aim to assist those looking to enter the wearables sector for the first time.
Alongside all of this there will be an exhibition to give companies the chance to show off products to anyone attending the event. The event will also play host to The Wearables, an awards ceremony recognising the UK’s leading large and small companies in the sector.
The wearables technology industry is one of the fastest growing right now with research reporting various heady numbers when it comes to the sector. Berg Research, in particular, project that shipments will hit 64 million by 2017 with the market growing at a rate of 50 per cent per year.
Registration is open now with an early bird discount available for anyone that applies before 31 December and all of the details can be found here.
