iZettle 2.0 has landed for Android business owners with the new app bringing a raft of new features to the popular card terminal app.
The latest version of the app allows merchants to create a vibrant product library complete with high quality images with the process a straightforward one.
Adding the first product is as easy as pressing the “+” button in the app with additional products able to be added at a later date by clicking on edit and then “+” again.
The app allows merchants to organise products by dragging and dropping them into different folders to ensure that similar products are grouped together in the best place possible.
If a product has a number of variants then it can be categorised by each one using the “Add variant” button and changing the VAT setting for each product is easy with different settings able to be applied.
Discounts can also easily be added to any products with the app including a walk-through guide the first time the service is downloaded from the app store.
The app allows merchants to accept card payments using the iZettle card reader or by entering details manually and it levies a 2.75 per cent fee on each transaction that uses the card reader with the fee without the reader €0.15 plus 3.5 per cent of the transaction amount.
For businesses that use the service more frequently it offers significant discounts on transaction fees with some as low as 1.5 per cent if the business processes more than £13,000 of transactions per month.
iZettle, first released in Sweden last year, has been unleashed in six countries with 75,000 businesses already on board and the number growing by the day. The card reader arrived in the UK earlier this month and is available for £20 through EE stores with small businesses able to take credit and debit card payments through tablets and smartphones as a result.
