Mojave Networks has released a new cloud security offering that will protect enterprise mobile users from damaging malware attacks on the same day that it secured a new $5 million [£3 million] round of funding.
The solution, from the company formerly known as Clutch Mobile, will allow companies to take advantage of protection for mobile devices starting at the network level and it offers enterprises increased visibility into its mobile devices.
“Organizations today are struggling with a growing number of apps, cloud services, and personal devices accessing their corporate data and networks,” said Garrett Larsson, co-founder and CEO of Mojave Networks. “Early on, we saw a huge market need for an easy to use, enterprise-grade mobile security solution that could take a different approach to solving this problem. By analyzing data traffic at the network layer, we are able to see risks in a whole new way, and in just a short amount of time, we’ve had dozens of enterprises around the globe deploy our solution.”
The new solution will help enterprises easily manage web and network security, prevent data loss, improve mobile application security and control, give users peace of mind when it comes to bring your own device [BYOD] privacy, and includes simple reporting and analytics.
Mojave also confirmed that it has closed the door on a $5 million [£3 million] round of fresh funding that was led by Bessemer Venture Partners in conjunction with Sequoia Capital.
It plans to use the new funding to speed up its go-to-market strategy and will help to fund research and development, sales team expansion and industry partnerships. The current solution supports both Android and iOS and costs $4 [£2.50] a month for each device after the free trial period has expired.
