Samsung, Huawei and IBM gather at DigiWorld Summit 2013

ITProPortal is back on the continent for yet another technology bonanza. This time we're in southern France – Montpellier, to be precise – at the IDATE DigiWorld Summit 2013.

This will be the 35th edition of the event, and this year's theme is simply 'The digital gold mines'.

As you'd expect, we have a mouth-watering agenda to look forward to. If you're feeling just a little jealous, we understand your pain but to soften the blow we'll be providing comprehensive coverage of the entire event, so make sure you stick around.

The event proper kicks off tomorrow morning, but word on the street is that Huawei fancies starting the party a little earlier than that. We'll be keeping our beady eyes on the Chinese giant tonight, for sure.

The DigiWorld schedule boasts some stellar names, including the likes of Samsung, IBM and Cisco. On the menu are a vast range of topics. From connectivity to 4G to smart living, there'll be plenty to talk about.

We're also hoping to get our hands on a number of speakers here – we'll begin the process of name-dropping in due course.

For now though, it's time to unpack and make the most of the calm before the proverbial storm (it's already raining). Stay tuned for all the announcements and talking points though, because this will get really busy really soon.
