Apple has finally unveiled its one-day-only Black Friday deals on a pleasingly un-Christmassy deals page. However, Apple fanboys and girls hoping for steep savings out of the Cupertino-based company might be disappointed, even if there is a little saving to be had om the new iPad Air.
The lightweight tablet has been knocked down from £399 to £368, a saving of £31, and the old, but still beloved, iPad 2 knocked down from £329 to £304, a reduction of £25.
Those are the highest reductions, though. Other less significant price drops include £15 off the iPad mini, dropping from £249 to £234, and iPod nanos reduced by £11 to £118.
Anyone wanting a discount on the iPhone 5S, 5C or the iPad mini with Retina display will be disappointed, though, and deal-hunters be forgiven for suspecting Apple of simply trying to shift old stock rather than offering a sincere round of deals.
Still, anyone looking to buy a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or iMac should definitely consider it today, as Apple is giving a more significant £81 off each of them, leaving them at £768, £1,018 and £1,068 respectively.
Anyone so inclined can also pick up a number of accessories and gadgets with a range of small to medium discounts. For instance, a Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Power Edition Quadricopter for £284, Apple TV for £84, and the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air Speakers reduced by a not-insignificant £61 to £438.
All in all, a fairly unimpressive round of deals from the Cupertino giant, with a couple of gems hidden away in there. One thing's for sure – these products are still going to sell, so get in fast if you've made up your mind to buy.
