LG announces new 'UltraWide' monitors ahead of CES 2014 debut

South Korean electronics firm LG has launched a brand new series of 'UltraWide' monitors for business professionals and multitaskers.

Making up the series are three models, optimised for work and play, multi-tasking and business, respectively, all of which pack a jumbo 21in IPS LED screen, Mac compatibility and a wall mount.

The business monitor also features a 2,560 x 1,080 pixel resolution, brightness of 300 nits, four-screen split capabilities and a height adjustable stand. It can also be tilted to cater for just about any viewing angle, eliminating the need to weigh your desk down with multiple displays.

The device packs a narrow bezel, as well as USB 3.0, USB 2.0, DVI-D, DisplayPort and two HDMI ports.

The monitors are built for maximum clarity, space and productivity. The ability to view multiple windows simultaneously on a single screen can help users make the switch to more flexible working methods.

Agility is a key characteristic that the enterprise needs to adopt, and being able to multitask is fast becoming an essential skill, rather than just a bonus.

To mark the release of the new displays, LG has released an accompanying parody video, entitled 'So Viral It's Scary', showcasing the devices' multitasking capabilities.
