More than 6,000 learning and development professionals will descend on London's Kensington Olympia Centre today to visit the annual Learning Technologies Conference and Exhibition.
2014 is the event's 16th successive year. Professionals from across the globe gather in London to network and to listen to experts in their respective fields talk about developments in learning technology, strategy and the issues facing L&D.
"2014 is shaping up to be a really exciting year," said Donald Taylor, chair of the Learning Technologies Conference. "I never cease to be surprised and amazed by the innovation I see all around in learning and development. There's so much to learn. Business is placing greater demand on L&D; learners are learning in an ever increasing variety of ways; the commercial sector is responding with greater innovation."
This year's conference will run for two days from 29 – 30 January. As well as two exhbitions showcasing a variety of learning models, services and technologies, there will also be 140 free seminars in 10 open theatres.
Taylor remarked that this year's event "will perhaps be most important for those who want to get ahead and lead the change that can help make learning experiences better in the future."
