GFT UK has announced the six budding British big data companies that will participate in the finals of its CODE_n startup competition.
The group will be formally presented at an exclusive event in London on 18 February, whichITProPortal will be attending.
The finalists include Google Campus-based SOMA Analytics, which has developed a technology that gauges employee stress levels based on smartphone movement data.
Also confirmed to take part in the unveiling next week are Viewsy, a company that provides real-time analytics for offline retailers, and community platform EnergyDeck, which harnesses crowdsourced information to help improve energy efficiency.
Elsewhere, Massive Analytic provides hardware and software suites for big data optimisation, while Deltasight is an analytics platform that aggregates and fuses data from different sources into a centralised global database.
Rounding out the finalists, TvBeat specialises in processing TV viewer behaviour, turning it into insights useful to a range of media and advertising professionals.
Joining the finalists at the event next week will be GFT CEO and CODE_n founder Ulrich Dietz, EY's Rob Torugi, and design guru Clemens Weisshaar.
Taking place as part of CeBIT 2014, CODE_n (opens in new tab)will run from 10 to 14 March 2014 in Hanover, Germany.
