So many folks use Skype these days that it is sometimes difficult to remember there are some people not yet converted. For those who need to make a lot of international voice communications, Skype can certainly be a good friend in terms of cost management. But that’s not the service’s only benefit.
As well as its much talked about and famed video calling capability, Skype is good for voice calls and instant messaging. And it offers low cost calls to non-Skype users via their mobile phone and landline numbers.
Business users in particular might also find the file sharing features handy. There’s nothing quite as useful as being able to send the document you are discussing to the person you are talking to. Or indeed sending that document to all the people you are talking to, because if you are in a group chat you can send files to everyone.
There are plenty of comms apps around these days, of course, but Skype remains a popular choice and if you’ve not already explored it, there’s no time like the present.
